DC Driver for PK596 Stepper Motor

Postby Ghadeer » Wed May 17, 2017 11:07 am

Hello,
I have PK596BE1-H100 5 phases stepper motor with RKD514H-C AC input driver, and I want to use DC input driver with the same motor.
I found CSD5828N driver but it is a discontinued product and there is no DC driver for the same frame size motors.
Is there any solution please?

Hi Ghadeer,

The PK596BE1-H100 motor and RKD514H-C driver were part of our RK series motor and driver combination. These two units were designed to operate together and the PK596BE1-H100 motor was never package nor tested with a 24 VDC driver.

Please note that testing the PK596BE1-H100 motor with a 24 VDC driver will be done at your own risk. There is no guaranteed performance from this motor and driver combination.

The CVD528BR-K driver is the closest driver that we offer to the CSD5828N driver. The CVD528BR-K driver is a connector type driver which is not currently on our USA website, however it can still be purchased by contacting our customer service department and receiving a credit card order form. Since the CVD528BR-K driver is a connector type driver, there will need to be connector cables made to connect to the driver. If you do not wish to make the cables with the included connectors and contacts, then I would recommend also getting the LCS05SD5 driver lead wire set.

The CVD528BR-K driver has a maximum output current of 2.8 Amps. Therefore, if you decide to test this driver with the PK596BE1-H100 motor, then you will need to adjust the current output to 1.4 Amps. Please reference the current setting below for RUN switch setting 5:
