BLE/OPX-2A: Enable digital speeds for data 0 and data 1

Postby om_tech_support_JT » Fri Feb 01, 2013 11:55 am

Q: Hi, I'm using your BLE speed control motor and driver system for a conveyor that I'm building. I wish to program speeds for all 8 data sets digitally with your OPX-2A programming module, then use I/O from a PLC to run the motor at those programmed speeds. However, I can't seem to make data 0 or data 1 work with digital speeds that I have already programmed. Data 0 or data 1 seem to only respond to internal potentiometer and external potentiometer's analog inputs. How can I make this work?

A: You'll have to change a setting within the BLE driver with the OPX-2A programming module to enable this type of operation. You'll have to change the setting for the SYS-0-04 from its initial/default value of 1 to 0. Once you do this, it will disable the analog inputs on the driver and enable digital speed settings from data 0 to data 7 instead. Please see below for an excerpt from the BLE manual:

You can also change this setting with the MEXE02 GUI software. Please see below:
