Types of Fan Alarms

Postby om_tech_support_JT » Wed Dec 22, 2010 5:26 pm

Q: What types of alarms do you offer for your fans?

A: We offer various types of alarm and sensor outputs for our axial flow fans, centrifugal blowers, and cross-flow fans.
1. Stall alarm - an alarm is output when the fan stops while operating.
2. Low-speed alarm (electronic output) - an alarm is output when the fan speed drops to a specific level.
3. Low-speed alarm - (contact output) - an alarm is output when the fan speed drops to a specific level.
4. Pulse sensor - two pulses are output per revolution of the fan. You will need a host controller to monitor the pulses and interpret it as speed. This function helps you set your own desired output speed for alarm activation.
