Q: I recently purchased one of your EZC II series motorized cylinder systems, and I'm using the push function to provide a continuous push force against a load. I couldn't find in the literature that specifies how long I can use the push motion for. Can you please advise?
A: Since the push motion function limits the cylinder motor's current to a specified level below 50%, you're actually increasing the typical 50% duty cycle of a step motor to something higher. The lower you set your push motion current level, the higher duty cycle you can achieve. This is because motor current is proportional to motor temperature. As long as the motor's temperature does not exceed 100 deg C, it's considered normal.
