Power factor for 15W AC induction motor
What is the power factor (cos phi) for the 3IK15ASW2 3phase induction motor? My VFD needs this information for optimal tuning. Thanks!

For 3IK15ASW2 the power factor is 0.52. The input power is calculated by multiplying the voltage 220 VAC by current 0.15 A resulting in 33 W. The voltage and current specs for 3IK15ASW2 can be found using the link below.

Then the output power is calculated using the equation Output Power [Watts] = 1.047 × 101 × T × N found in the technical references using the the link below. T or torque f is 0.1 N·m and N rated speed is 1650 rpm for 3IK15ASW2 (found in the link above). That results in an output power of 17.28 W.

To get the Power factor divide the output power by the input power to get 0.52.
