5IK90GU-ATF Wiring

Postby radman » Wed Jun 01, 2011 5:03 pm

I have a 5IK90GU-ATF motor. The motor has 4 wiring terminals.
1)White
2)Yellow?
3)Blue
4)A gray or purple?

What is the correct method to wire this motor?

Can you check your part # of 5IK90GU-ATF for me? I show that this motor has a terminal box installed onto it, which means that there are no lead wires supplied with it. If this is true, those wires (and theie color) were supplied by whoever installed the motor.

If this is the correct part # , the wiring would be like this:

For CW rotation:
Terminal 1 >> One side of the capacitor
Terminal 2 >> To one of the power supply legs and the other side of the capacitor
Terminal 3 >> To the other leg of the power supply
Terminal 4 >> Jumpered to terminal 3

For CCW rotation:
Terminal 1 >> Jumpered to terminal 3
Terminal 2 >> To one of the power supply legs and one side of the capacitor
Terminal 3 >> To the other leg of the power supply
Terminal 4 >> To other side of the capacitor

Let me know if this helps!
