EMP400 Alarms

Postby fsoria » Sun Mar 27, 2011 11:00 pm

How would you classify an alarm when the EMP400 will turn the alarm i/o signal to "high"? (based on CN1 (I/O) signal table)

In the manual, it only states the cause of an alarm, and list the error messages. It does not have a classification of what alarm occured when the alarm I/O is turned "ON".

If you are trying to find out what the actual alarm code is for the EMP400, use the "R" command to see it. After you type the "R" command, the code following the the word "ERROR" will be the current alarm that the EMP400 has detected.

I hope that this answers your question.

Sorry, but I think it does not answer my questions...forgive me..
I am using a PLC and just monitoring the I/O for the alarm of the EMP400...so it means that I am only monitoring for "1" or "0"...

No problem if I am using a hyperterminal, I can just issue "R" and voila I will get the alarm...
But if I am using a PLC, how would I know that if the I/O is turned to "1", what is the alarm raised???

thanks

I'm sorry that I didn't understand your question the first time.

Unfortunately, if you are using a PLC, you will only be able to detect that there is an alarm, but you can't determine what kind of alarm it is unless you use a serial connection like hyperterminal.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.
