sensor cable?

Postby yshengu » Thu Apr 29, 2010 6:22 am

DEAR
we use the dc motor speed control system :axhd30k and axhm230k-cfh ,but the driver will error ,light 3 times
I read the manual :Open-phase protection function (three flashes of LED)
Prevents motor malfunction when the sensor cable within the motor cable is
disconnected during motor operation. (An alarm signal will not be output while the
motor is at a standstill.)
i want to know how to check sensor cable ,the manual not show the cable .
thanks !!!!

Yshengu,

Does the 3 blink alarm occur imediately when you power up the driver? Or does it come on after you try to move the motor?
Can you clear the alarm and them run the motor?
Is the motor cable moved and/or bent frequently during operation?

If you are not using an extension cable, please check the cable that is connected between the motor and the driver for any:
-Broken or worn wires
-Make sure that the motor cable connector is seated well into the connector on the driver

If you are using an extension cable:
-Check for any broken or worn wires
-Make sure that all of the connectors are seated well into thier mating connectors on the extension cable and in the driver connector.

Please let us know what you find out.

We are trying to come up with a system that makes a large cart powered by allowing the wheels to turn. Currently there is 2 fixed and 2 swivel casters on it. The 2 fixed casters can be replaced or modified to have an electric motor, the controls for said motor go on the opposite end of the cart with a bicycle style handle bars with stop/start buttons.

Hi thomosgee1,

I would recommend the BLV series (up to 400W) for your large robotic cart application. They are 24/48VDC brushless DC motor systems which include dedicated drivers. In addition to both digital and analog speed settings, the drivers would have start/stop, run/brake, CW/CCW inputs in order to control the motor's rotation. The BLV series systems are especially designed to run AGV's (Autonomous Guided Vehicles) on batteries.

Please click the below link to learn more about our BLV series:
