Torque Setting & Limit Feedback

Post by Mr.Thota » Thu Jun 13, 2019 5:45 am

Hi !!

As we are looking for 0 to 500 rpm minimum, Torque 2Nm and Torque feedback to be required.
Ex: toruq should not be exceeding above 2 NM, when torque reaches 2 Nm and we require feedback signal from the motor.

Pls consider motor should control through PLC output.

Requested to please suggest us best suitable motor along with technical details to proceed further.

thanks in advance.

Hi Mr.Thota,

The AZ series has a torque limiting feature that you can set as a percentage and when it reaches that torque set it will turn on an output. The output that is turned on when the torque percentage set is reached is the TLC output. The part number would depend on the inertia needed from the application to determine the size of the motor.

Hi!!
Good Day !!

As we are going to finalize the models Motor: AZM98A0C + Built-In Controller: AZD-CD + Cable: CC030VZR for torque limiting application.
Please advise whether we can get different torque values output (like 0.5 Nm, 1.0 Nm, 1.5 Nm and 2.0 Nm) when reaches setting torque right ??
Please be advise in this regard to proceed further in this matter.

Also please provide us TLC output wiring diagram details along with AZ series manual for our reference.

thanking you.

Hi Mr. Thota,

You can set the torque limiting as a percentage on the MEXE02 software or with RS485 communication. To match it to the torque value you want to set you would have to reference the speed torque curve and look at the torque needed as a percentage at the specific speed. I will link the speed torque curve below.

You can reference a sample wiring diagram of the outputs in the manual on page 177 and 179. The TLC output isn't factory set as one of the default outputs but you can use the MEXE02 software or RS485 communication to set it as one of the outputs.
