Using the AZD-KD stepper motor driver inputs and outputs

Post by Luther » Wed Jul 03, 2019 6:33 pm

I have a AZD-KD stepper motor driver which I am controlling via MODBUS. My application requires that I turn on a lamp at a certain time. Can I use MODBUS to read and write to the outputs on the AZD-KD to save me having to purchase a seperate MODBUS General purpose I/O Module? Thanks

Hi Luther,

With the AZD-KD driver you will only be able to read the internal I/O of the driver with the 007Dh register for inputs and 007Fh register for outputs. You can reference these registers on page 362 of the manual. You can change the I/O parameters the registers would be on page 419 and 420. The input and output signal list is on page 429 and 430.
