CVK Series TIM & Alarm Output

Post by Mr.Thota » Sat Aug 03, 2019 4:41 am

Hi !!

As we are working with PKP268D28B2 + CVD228BR-K + LC2B06E combination, wherein the TIM ouput which we are getting is voltage 0.2 ~ 0.5 V max.
Which we would like to interface to our PLC for measuring values, but our PLC min reading voltage requirement is 20~24V DC.

Hence requested to please let us know how to boost up output saturated voltage 0.5 V to 24 V DC ?? (from TIM & Alarm)

Also please suggest us alternate option, that any other output which gives 24 V DC ??

Thanking you and Best Regards,

Hi Mr.Thota,

For the CVD228BR-K driver since they are open-collector type outputs you have to supply the 24 VDC voltage to the output to read that voltage when outputs are on. Reference page 8 of the link below for sample wiring diagram. You will have to use resistors to limit the current to less than 10 mA.

Hi !!

Thankyou verymuch for your details, we are trying but unable to get TIM output 24V DC to read my PLC through this.
A bit confusion about wiring, we need to be provide 24V DC to pin no. 11 & 12 (or) 9 & 10 ??
could you able to discribe the pin details exactly please !!
please do the favourable.

thanks and regards,

Hi Mr.Thota,

From the wiring diagram the 24 VDC would go to pins 9 and 11. The pins 10 and 12 would go to 0 VDC. When using 24 VDC use a resistor 2.4 Kohm or larger to keep current at 10 mA or less.
